Why we created ohai

Sharing art is vulnerable. It’s easy to second guess yourself, shrink your offerings, let perfection hold you back from your call to growth; especially when putting something personal out into the world.

That’s why we started OHAI - a space that encourages artists to take up space, share their work, and feel supported doing it. We’ve learned that in witnessing an artists work, something deeper happens - connection, healing and a sense of belonging begin to bloom. That’s really what this is about. Creating a space where people can connect, feel inspired, and support each other in doing what they love.

It’s the kind of life we envision for ourselves — and for the wider world. Starting here, with what we already know and love — the people and place that raised us (aka Maui). We’re building a platform rooted in creativity and care. A place where artists are valued and where slow work has room to thrive.

Our hope is that by nurturing our community, we ripple a sense of connection and intentional artistry outward.
